Program Goals
Goal 1: Academic success
Our primary goal for each wrestler is to achieve academic success by setting high academic goals, showing
constant improvement, and applying the work ethic learned on the mat to school work.
Goal 2: Personal Growth
Our second goal is to teach life lessons through wrestling. We want each wrestler to incorporate the discipline,
work ethic, and self-confidence they gain through wrestling into their everyday lives throughout high school, college,
and beyond. If our kids fully commit and give everything they have to the sport of wrestling, wrestling will give them
back much more.
Goal 3: Wrestling Success
Our final goal is each athlete develops, improves, and matures as a wrestler. The coaches and wrestlers will
work together to set individual goals and create a plan to reach those goals. We feel that the wrestlers who work their
hardest to follow the plan will find success.
JUICE IT!!!!!
What Does it Mean?
For the Lawrence High wrestling family, the term “JUICE IT” refers to getting the most out of your opportunities in life.
When we make any fresh juice, we have to work the juice free from the main ingredient. We do this by grinding the
ingredients to unlock the juice. Just as in life, anything worth accomplishing comes from hard work. When you fully enjoy a meal, you savor the essence. The best meals have multiple courses working together to complete an experience that will last a lifetime. We want to take that approach in developing our student athletes. It is our responsibility to help our student athletes grow athletically, academically, emotionally, and socially. We encourage all of our family and fans to: Join Us In Creating Excitement!!!!!
Why Do We Say It?
It reminds everyone to dive deeper into the process of developing our student athletes. If we go through the motions,
stay complacent, or settle for little growth, we will get through it, but the satisfaction and reward at the end will be
minimal. If we take the opportunity to experience life and become a part of the process, we can discover more about
ourselves. Our student athletes have the opportunity to grow exponentially - if we support them. We must be part of everything that is going on in and around our Lawrence High wrestling program. We want our student athletes to be active participants in life. We must support and guide our student athletes to become productive in the classroom, on the mat, and in society; and as a byproduct all of us can grow as individuals.
